Our kids have been patients with Dexter Orthodontics for over two and half years. We have one son now in retainers after wearing traditional braces for a little more than two years. Our other son has been in Invisalign approaching 6 months now. What has impressed us most about Dexter Orthodontics, besides the results, is the caring nature of the entire staff (not just Dr. Moenssen and Dr. Shoukri). They have been an absolutely perfect fit for our one son who is neuro-divergent, specifically because of his sensory and anxiety issues he has had to overcome with the concept of seeing a doctor or dentist. From the first consultation to the implementation of the treatment plan, they have worked with us to not only ensure our son was comfortable with his options, but to assure us that his plan would be his needs versus what may have fit a neuro-typical kid.

The office and programs/services offered are so accommodating to families, you almost feel guilty at how care free they make it. We were thrilled with their flexible pricing/payment options, appointment time discounts, and care management practice. When it comes to the treatment itself, it is all provided guilt free to their patients and parents. Obviously things happen, whether it be brackets breaking, retainers breaking, bad brushing/flossing habits, missed appointments, etc... They do not make our kids feel guilty at all and reassure us as parents that things are going great. They educate all of us to try and do a little bit better the next time vs. making us feel like somebody did something wrong. This is a big deal for our son that wore traditional braces who really can be hard on himself for disappointing others.

Overall, we can't rate the entire staff high enough to give them the credit they deserve. We were skeptical going into this journey with our first son and had fairly low expectations of success and never thought our other son would be able manage a treatment option given his challenges. However, after a very short time we realized that both our kids were going to end up with fantastic smiles that they could be proud of. We have been blown out of the water at the results thus far.

And since we can't rate you higher in this form, just know that you get 10 stars from us!

They are always very nice to you, often try to get to know you so that you aren't just a name, and treat you with respect. Every time you walk into an appointment, they ask you how you are and how your day is going. Sadly, after my braces came off, I developed a problem in my jaw where it couldn't open properly and caused me pain in certain circumstances. As of right now, we are trying to understand how that happened and how it can be treated. A possibility is that I grind my teeth, so I need a new retainer to help. Dexter Orthodontics was super friendly about it and waived the charge for the new retainer, which would have cost us $500 dollars.

I got my braces here and my teeth were perfect by the end. They made everything as easy and trouble free as possible while providing excellent service. Years later (after I neglected to wear my retainers) I went to get my teeth fixed again and it was just as easy as I remembered.

Very easy to work with and helpful in dealing with insurance/payment plans for my son's braces. I don’t know that many people enjoy getting dental work done but my son reports they are always nice and conscientious to make it as enjoyable as possible.

We moved from out of state in the middle of our sons treatment and we’re shocked to find out that we basically had to start over with his braces. Not to mention our daughter was also at the end of her treatment and we had to back track a little. They were so great with working with us both on time and financial end (2 sets of continuous braces can be expensive and not a happy time for 2 teenagers). They are super friendly and helpful. The staff is knowledgeable and also really nice. Their prices are comparable to other Orthodontists, and they give a good discount if you book morning appointments. I also like that they promote local businesses and Dexter High School Drama. We look forward to seeing their billboards with local students/patients. I highly recommend Dexter Orthodontics.

I Love Dexter Orthodontics because the staff is really caring. They make an effort to know your name and to get to know you throughout your appointment. So our family has been under their care for several years and couldn’t be more satisfied. We had a different orthodontist for my oldest son and did not have a great experience there. It has been refreshing to be in such good hands now. They are professional, encouraging, and are very in tune with the challenges for the kids as well as the concerns of the parents. We have always had everything explained thoroughly and had all options clearly presented. The kids are given clear instructions and I love the way they encourage compliance with a very clever incentive program. And, at least compared to our experience with a different orthodontist, they have been noticeably more affordable. This has been an excellent choice for our family.

We chose Dexter Orthodontics after meeting 4 other Orthodontists. I wasn’t happy with one thing or the other at the other places. When I met Dr. Moenssen and learned about her approach to my son’s treatment, I knew we were in the right place. We have been there for phase 1 and are now in the middle of phase 2. It has been 5 years, but that’s because of my son being slow to get specific teeth in, in order to move forward. His teeth look great! They have always been helpful, informative and wonderful when I call to change an appointment or have a question. I’ve actually referred friends who also love them.
